Terms of Service

The agreement between you and us when you buy a piece. Written to be read, not to be scrolled past.

1. Who these terms are with

This website is operated by Mayuri. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

2. What you are buying

Every piece listed is an original work — a single physical painting, not a print or a reproduction, and not one of an edition. Each ships with a signed certificate of authenticity.

Because each piece exists once, a listing disappears when it sells. Dimensions, medium and surface are stated on every listing and are accurate. Colour on your screen will never be an exact match for pigment in a room; that is a property of screens, not a defect in the work.

3. Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we confirm the order. If a piece has sold between your adding it to a cart and completing checkout, we will tell you and refund you in full — we will not substitute a different painting.

We may decline an order where the piece is no longer available, where the price was listed in error, or where we cannot deliver to the address given.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are in Indian Rupees and include the artwork plus any frame you select. The total shown at checkout is the total you pay — shipping is free across India and no charges are added at the final step.

Prices are calculated on our server from our own catalogue at the moment you order, not from anything sent by your browser. If a price is displayed incorrectly through an obvious error, we will contact you before charging you rather than silently charging the higher amount.

5. Delivery

Orders are dispatched within 2–4 business days and delivered in 5–9 business days across India, insured in transit. Full detail is on the shipping page. These are estimates in good faith, not guarantees — couriers, weather and public holidays are outside our control.

Risk in the artwork passes to you on delivery.

6. Returns

You have 7 days from delivery to raise a return for artwork that arrives damaged, or that differs significantly from its listing. We do not accept returns for change of mind. The full policy, including how commissions are treated, is on the returns page.

7. Commissions

Commissioned work is agreed in writing — concept, size, palette, timeline and price — before any work begins. Because a commission is made to your brief it cannot be returned for change of mind.

8. Copyright

Buying a painting transfers the physical object to you. It does not transfer copyright. The artist retains copyright in the image and the right to reproduce it — in a portfolio, in a catalogue, or as a print — unless we agree otherwise in writing.

You may photograph and display the piece you own. You may not reproduce it commercially, or produce prints of it, without written permission.

Everything on this website — the photographs, the written descriptions, the design — belongs to us and may not be reproduced without permission.

9. Your account and conduct

Keep any account details accurate and your access to them secure. Do not attempt to interfere with the site, scrape it at scale, or place orders you do not intend to complete.

10. Liability

We are responsible for delivering the artwork you ordered, in the condition described. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Your statutory rights as a consumer under Indian law stand alongside these terms and are not reduced by them.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the order you placed is governed by the version in force when you placed it. Questions go to the contact page.
